Maya Corneille
NIA School
S2C Practitioner
NIA is a microschool serving autistic minimal speakers and nonspeakers. We are an intentionally small school to give our students the specialized attention they deserve. We have a 2:1 or lower student-staff ratio and small class sizes. This means we are able to design a curriculum by using each child's strengths to help them reach their goals.

Danielle Corneille
High Five Language and Learning, LLC
Speech and Language Pathologist
S2C Practioner
Through 10+ years of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist in outpatient pediatrics, specializing in Dyslexia, Autism, and Apraxia, I developed a deep care and understanding for individuals with communication and learning differences. However, by far, the single most valuable part of my education has been in my role as a family member (aunt) to a wonderful Autistic, minimal speaker who now uses Spelling to communicate. I currently work with nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals ages 7 to adult, using S2C. When appropriate, I may incorporate my training as a speech pathologist using methods such as PROMPT, which is a tactile-kinesthetic approach to teaching motor movements for speech.

Quesia Raqib
Special Education Teacher
S2C Practitioner
I started working with the neurodiverse community 18 years ago as a special education teacher. I have worked with students ranging from pre-K to college. I've taught students who've carried various "labels" such as autism, learning disabled, cognitively impaired, cerebral palsy, and legally blind. I've taught students in the United States and abroad in Senegal, West Africa. I am also the mom to a 15-year-old son who has been diagnosed with autism and can be considered "unreliably speaking". I see the difference spelling is making in my son's life and the rest of our family. I’m both excited and honored to share the gift of “spelling” with you and your family.

Whitney Pfohl Stovall
LPC, NCC
S2C Practitioner
My passion involves working with, learning from, and advocating for the neurodivergent community. My mission is to bridge the current gaps that exist surrounding accessibility to mental health and other related services, specifically for the autistic population. I currently serve as the child therapist at a private psychiatric practice in the Atlanta area. Play and relationship-based approaches are at the center of all my work. I additionally operate from strength-based and solution-focused approaches, and utilize the neurodivergent model as a framework to guide much of my therapeutic understanding. I believe that every child is capable, if given the appropriate support, love, and tools to reach their greatest potential.
Lisa Bergquist
Certified Yoga Instructor
Spellers Method Practitioner
Lisa is a trained Spellers Method Provider and a certified yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance. She also received her B.A. in Biology. After teaching yoga for almost 20 years, she was introduced to the world of spelling. Like yoga, spelling is based upon bringing the mind and body together. With a focus on refining gross motor skills, Lisa teaches people with sensory/motor differences to use spelling to communicate their thoughts and ideas. By using purposeful motor movement, clients work to develop the necessary strength and skills to communicate clearly and accurately. With patience and fortitude, there is so much that spellers can accomplish!
